MONDAY 10/4:

free night tickets! online registration opens 6pm.

free. all ages. reservations for tickets must be made through the arts crush website.

there are a lot performances/exhibits/events to choose from, but a limited number of tickets available, so do it sooner rather than later!



“date night” tickets.

many organizations offer two-for-one tickets/admission to tuesday and friday events, just mention arts crush at the box office!



“film festival in a box: zombies.” 7-8pm.

free. 17+. roy street coffee and tea (starbucks). 700 broadway ave e.

indieflix’s monthly rogue screening, interactive movie game. four independent shorts will be shown, bring your cell to vote for your favorite.



coca’s 18th annual art marathon. 9am, viewing 5-9pm.

globe building (former elliott bay book co.), pioneer square. 310 1st ave.

a 24 hour non stop art marathon featuring 30 different artists. starts 9am thursday, ends 9am friday.

marathon viewing (meet the artists and watch them work) presented with first thursday 5-9pm.


FRIDAY 10/8:

picasso opens at the sam.

open 10am-9pm. seattle art museum. 1300 1st ave.

free tickets for the first 100 visitors!



implied violence “the dorothy k: for better, for worse, and forever.” 11-5pm.

free. all ages. frye reflecting pool. frye art museum. 704 terry ave.

a new performance by implied violence, in conjunction with the opening of the “implied violence: yes and more and yes and yes and why” show.


SUNDAY 10/10:

arts crush literary week launch. 1-8pm.

elliott bay book co. 1521 10th ave. capitol hill.

free. all ages. readings, writing workshops, music, and more!

1-5pm: all ages. story time sessions 3-3:20pm. 3:30-3:50pm. 4-4:20pm. writing workshops 1-2pm (poetic mashups). 2-3pm (hip hop poetry remix). 3-4pm (the idea jar). 4-5pm (oh! the shape i’m in! shape poems).

6-8pm: 18+. seattle7writers launch “the novel: live!” at 6pm: 36 northwest authors will be creating a 60,000 word novel in a six day marathon; every two hours someone new rotates in. contribute your ideas for the theme, characters, etc. at the kickoff party (prizes for good suggestions)!
