beard & stache fest: “sprint your stache off.” 9pm.

free. 21+. an indoor bicycle race! there will be beard & stache fest swag and prizes! registration 8:30pm, race 9-11pm.



free cave singers show. 7pm.

easy street records, queen anne location. 20 mercer st.

free. all ages. cave singers in-store musical performance/release party for their new album no witch.


sws forum: west seattle’s transportation future. 7-9pm.

senior center of west seattle. 4217 sw oregon st.

free. all ages. sustainable west seattle’s community forum featuring facilitator tom rasmussen, chris arkills, brice maryman, martin duke, peter hahn.



beard & stache fest: “high-rolling for foster kids.” 7pm.

king’s hardware. 5225 ballard ave nw.

21+. 7pm skee ball warm-ups, 8pm registration, 8:30-10:30pm games.



“gimme shelter” benefit for desc. doors 6:30pm.

showbox market. 1426 1st ave.

$15 (plus $7 fees). 21+. show 7:30pm. featuring the dusty 45s, kasey anderson & the honkies, star anna, tom bennett & the rolling blackouts, massy ferguson, rachel flotard & rusty willoughby, vince mira, zoe muth, mark pickerel and kristen ward.


FRIDAY 2/25:

edward glaeser: “the splendor of our cities.” 7:30-8:30pm.

downstairs, town hall. 1119 8th ave.

$5. all ages. glaeser is the author of triumph of the city: how our greatest invention makes us richer, smarter, greener, healthier, and happier.



“forever young(stown)” 5th birthday bash. 4:30pm-1am.

youngstown cultural center. 4408 delridge way sw.

4:30-6pm (theatre. free/all ages) film series kick-off with screening of “exit through the gift shop” with popcorn, followed by art-making in the hallway.

6-8pm (upstairs. free/all ages) potluck with food provided by residents and available throughout the building.

8pm-1am (movement studio. free/21+) open mic and dance party! beer available to purchase.


century ballroom’s 14th anniversary celebration. 7pm.

century ballroom (2nd floor of oddfellows building). 915 e. pine st.

free. 21+. there is a ton of music/dancing packed into the night, including country western/waltz, salsa, swing, tango, and a number of performances too! also karaoke in the west hall 9pm.


SUNDAY 2/27:

“around the market in 80 minutes” scavenger hunt. 11am-4pm.

check in under the market clock, pike place market.

free. all ages. an adventure game that will have you exploring the market! there are prizes too!
